Is a canyoning tour right for me?

Canyoning is truly a sport for anyone willing to demonstrate the respect it merits. It is an inherently risky activity. On our tours you must be able to:

  • Hike 4 miles

  • Swim

  • Have moderately good balance - The trails and canyon are both rocky & slippery

Is Canyoning Safe?

It is impossible to eliminate risk and garuntee your safety on our tours and courses. Canyoning is a sport that certainly comes with inherent danger/risks. We do our best to mitigate risk. On every technical move throughout the day, you will be supported with a safety rope. Our guides take a hands on approach of supporting you where you need it and instructing those who want to learn more. Again, all of this however does not garuntee your safety

What footwear should I bring?

You are REQUIRED to wear sturdy hiking shoes or exercise sneakers. Sandals, water shoes or minimalist shoes of any kind are not permitted on the tour.

What clothes should I wear?

You will be wearing a wetsuit for almost the entire day. Underneath your wetsuit you can wear one of the following:

  • a bathing suit

  • Dry Fit/Moisture wicking shorts/ t shirts

  • For Extra Warmth: Wool/Fleece leggings/shirts + a Raincoat over the wetsuit

Is the water cold?

The water is cold and you will be in the water the entire day. BUT we outfit you with the proper wetsuit and neoprene to stay warm and cozy all day.

Is lunch provided?

Morning snacks and lunch are provided. You will submit your lunch choice during booking.

I am afraid of heights, can I still go?

For those who do not love heights, The Quad is a better tour option for you. It’s good to be aware of our boundaries - self preservation is good! But when you sign up for a tour, you should be confident that you can rappel up to 40 feet and we will help!

I am afraid of water/not a great swimmer, can I still go?

For those who don’t like the water - this tour is NOT for you. You will be walking, wading and swimming in the water all day.

If you are not a great swimmer, that is ok - as long as you can doggie paddle, we will help you with the rest.
